Abstract:
Psychodermatology is defined as the connection between two disciplines, a complex interaction
of the nervous system, skin and immunity. In this article, we present the main chronic dermatological
diseases with their psychological impact on mental health and the main psychiatric
diseases which associate skin lesions in their evolution. There is an increased need for new liaison
among primary care physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists and dermatologists, liaison that could be
very beneficial for the patient.
