The book tries to give an answer to “Why should we invest in gifted children in Norwegian schools?” According to the Norwegian educational law from 2009, paragraph 1-3, gifted children, like all other children, have the right to benefit from teaching that is adjusted to their needs and potential. Inclusion and adjusted learning are central concepts for Norwegian education. But in practice, gifted children and their rights are still neglected. The book is addressed to teachers and students and in the same time to politicians that should understand that these children represent a valuable intellectual capital for Norway which has been neglected for already too much time.
