The somatic and psychiatric comorbidities were investigated on a number of 100 women with etilism assisted within an acute psychiatric unit from the Psychiatric Hospital “Socola“ Iasi, using both clinical examination and objective anamnesis. There were identified psychiatric (87%), neurologic (7%), hepato-digestive (41%), cardiovascular (25%), dismetabolic-dyscrinic (20%), locomotor (15%) and urogenital (9%) comorbidities. It can be concluded that in the case of women suffering from etilism, it is necessary to give special attention to somatic exploration, which necessitates an adequate organisation of the acute psychiatric units. With regard to the data concerning the somatic comorbidities, physicians have to elaborate appropriate therapeutic strategies, so that the recovery process involves maximum efficiency and acceptable financial costs.
