Abstract:
In order to evaluate the possibility to prognose early alcohol relapses, there was studied the
influence of different factors (clinical, affective, biological), that might provoke the relapse. The study
of 155 alcohol-dependence patients, being in the initial period of instalated remission of alcoholdependence
(the first 6 months after the antialcoholic treatment). The design of the study was based on
prospective and retrospective clinical exploration, clinico-psychological tests, radio-immunological
methods of evaluation of the level of hormones (adrenocorticotrope (ACTH), prolactine (PRL), cortisol
(F)) in blood. The complex analysis of data obtained by statistical methods (discriminant analysis), has
shown that the prognosis of early alcohol relapses is more efficient when a set of different factors is
analysed. An efficient prognosis can be obtained by the application of the formula of the discriminant
function with the inclusion of such parameters as pathologic pulssion for alcohol, anxiety, dysphoria.
