Abstract:
The importance of C-reactive protein (CRP) for depression and ischemic heart
disease promotion has been proven through medical research, in the last decade. The objective consisted in the evaluation of surgical myocardial revascularized patients
with depression, compared to the patients (with the same cardiac condition) without depression.
The elevated serum level of CRP has been considered a good marker for high cardiovascular risk.
