Through its impact on the micro or macro climate, alcoholism has become a phenomena not to be neglected in contemporary society. The range of alcohol maladaptative use is wide: acute intoxication, addiction disorder, affective disorders, psychosis, dementia, etc. The evolution into one of this psychopathologic entities generates interest. Psychogenetic vulnerability, somatic comorbidity, debute age for substance use, therapeutic compliance are only few factors intervening in the evolution of alcoholism. Each of them or all together determine the evolution of a clear pathologic board or psychopathologic comorbidities. Identifying the predictive factors can generate individual solutions for the therapeutic attitude, with impact on the prognosys for the addiction disorder, psychiatric comorbidities and eventually a prophylactic attitude regarding these psychopathologic entities.
